I’m talking of course about books, movies, blogs, etc — where it seems as tho everyone else has this great life. But truth is very often something much different.

We never can know how our lives will turn out — but I think all we can do is trust our own instincts to guide us.

Would you characterize him as your soul mate? My current GF is similarly inclined - she has all those attributes you describe, and I definitely consider her my soul mate, regardless of whatever else occurs in our lives.
