Church Drops Lawsuit Against Feminique Boutique


Update — I can confirm now — (yeah… now that the local press has the story - thanks Caitie!) — that Saint Agnes Church, West Chester, PA has withdrawn its legal challenge against Jill McDevitt and Feminique Boutique.  I got an email from Jill late on June 5th indicating that things might go this route, but was asked to wait until she was sure that this was really over.  I got an email from her last night confirming this latest development.  It’s really over!  :P

Saint Agnes has withdrawn its appeal and challenge to the business license issued to Feminique Boutique, but according to a letter to the zoning board, the church wants to have a continual “dialog” about the adult zoning ordinance.  :roll:

Way to go Jill!  And congratulations!  I wish you the best of luck with your shop and the future!

Agreed — which is why I delayed saying anything about the possibility of the church dropping this. Now that the traditional media has printed this, I think its safe to call it over.

Hmmmm. What’d be nice is if they have any tax exemptions based on their religious affiliation and to see if those are up for review soon.

Afterall, tax exemptions are free rides for the grantees and are take-aways from the public commons like public schools and the regular tax base of communities.

Christians…and they say anti-christ like it’s a bad thing.
