You know, I never would have envisioned that scenario, but it actually makes perfect sense in how you’ve described it. I know that many men crave certain sexual experiences (I’m thinking of penetrative experiences) to fulfill some innate curiosity about “how a woman feels” during sex. I’m wondering if that visualization is part of that. I would guess that it is.

I know my own imagination is often aroused after watching porn — tho in different kinds of ways; but I’m having a difficult time articulating that at the moment, so let me come back to it later.

I would tend to visualize myself in the scenes I was watching, sometimes pulling feelings and memories from my own experiences, and the more I was able to visualize those things in my own mind, the more aroused I’d become.

You may also find it interesting that, when watching porn, many men also put put themselves in the female’s place in the scene during the sex - they visualize themselves in that woman’s body and interpret the scene based on how they think they would feel if that was them in that scene. This helps explain why many men are aroused by a lot of the masochistic and misogynistic porn that is becoming more ubiquitous these days. Many amateur psychologists like to believe it is because they get off on seeing women abused in these videos, but the reality is that they (many of them) see themselves as the “passive” in this material. Obviously, for some the draw is the abuse of the woman, but that by no means is universal.
