thought of the moment…
Q: Who is the real John McCain?
A: A Desperate Coward!
I have to admit — it’s getting awfully hard not to be embarrassed by what John McCain has become. Anyone who watched the debate the other night saw a man who looked exasperated and desperate, who almost seems like he’s ready to explode because he cannot believe that he isn’t going to get to be president.
John McCain likes to run around spouting this “Country First” tag-line of his, but his actions and his language, both verbal and non-verbal, show a man who is clearly far less concerned about his country, and much more concerned about what’s good for John McCain and John McCain’s ego.
When a conservative columnist like George Will is quoting former Baltimore Orioles manager Earl Weaver, asking the McCain campaign, “Are you going to get any better, or is this it?”, and when he compares Sarah Palin to the illiterate Sancho Panza, you know that the Straight Talk Express has just been called out as the Bozo The Clown Show.
If John McCain actually had the temerity and chutzpah to challenge Barack Obama’s tenuous relationship with a former 60’s anti-war protester and Weatherman William Ayers to Barack Obama’s face, one might actually be able to respect McCain for at least being willing to go down in flames on his own — but instead, John McCain has hidden like a bitchy little girl behind his wife’s pantsuit, and the skirt of his frothing rabid attack dog Sarah Palin, allowing the women in his campaign to do the mud slinging from afar, and, in front of pre-screened audiences.
Some courage there John McCain, nothing like playing before the home crowd now is there?
I’ve got another apropos baseball phrase in mind for you slugger… take a seat, chump.
